Tonight we tried a recipe from our “friend” Rachel Ray. We found it in her magazine. It sounded good: Sausage, Pepper and Onion Hash Hoagies. All the tasty ingredients were there: sautéed onions and red pepper, Italian sausage, sliced Yukon Gold potatoes. The only problem was that all of these ingredients did not fit on a hoagie roll!! Each of ended up eating it a different way. I just placed all of mine on the hoagie roll and used a knife and fork to cut it up and eat it piece by piece. Theodore scrapped the hoagie roll and just ate the filling. Paula also tossed the roll but she pulled out a flour tortilla from the refrigerator and made a wrap for herself.

All in all, we made the best of a bad situation. Rachel struck out with this meal – or at least made the mistake of turning it into a hoagie. I wonder if she actually tried to eat it herself and if she did, what type of hoagie roll she used. It really did taste quite delicious. I would recommend turning it into a warm wrap using a flour tortilla if you do…
