Tonight we threw some brats on the grill and served them up on some hot dog rolls. Along with the brats, we opened a can of baked beans and made a fresh salad with ingredients that I picked up from the farmer’s market on Saturday. This worked out for the three of us since Paula had worked on Sunday night and had to stay up in the morning to take Theodore for a dentist appointment. As a result, she was not ready to do any cooking. It was sleep that she needed instead. But since we keep a variety of staples around the house, we were still able to put together a good meal that all of us enjoyed. Right now that is important since Theodore is running on the cross-country team and we don’t have a lot of time to cook during the week.
