Paula made some chili today in the slow cooker. This is an easy meal. Anyone can do it!
Just take 1 pound of ground beef, 2 cans of kidney beans (drained), 1 medium onion (chopped), 1 28-ounce can of diced tomatoes, 1 tablespoon of chili powder and 1 teaspoon of dried basil. Add all of this to the slow cooker and cook on low for 4-5 hours.
When the chili is done, you can serve it with several sides. Paula made some corn bread muffins this time. On other occasions, we enjoyed the chili with rice or “Cincinnati-style”, which means we have it over spaghetti.
It turned cold this week and so the chili tasted good. It was warm, tasty and filling!
