Paula made use of some crescent rolls that she had found in my mother’s refrigerator to put together tonight’s meal. She made a Crescent Roll Taco Bake, a recipe that she found online. It was quite tasty!

Start by heating the oven to 375°F. Unroll 1 package of crescent roll dough and separate into 8 triangles. Place in ungreased 9-inch square pan or 10-inch pie plate. Press over bottom and up sides to form crust.

In 10-inch skillet, cook 1 pound of ground beef over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly cooked and then drain. Stir in 3/4 cup of chunky salsa and 1 package of taco seasoning mix. Simmer for 5 minutes. Spoon meat mixture into the crust-lined pan. Sprinkle with shredded Mexican cheese blend.

Bake about 17 minutes or until crust is deep golden brown and cheese is melted. Pile on your favorite toppings as desired. We had chopped tomatoes, additional salsa, sour cream and avocado slices. You could add anything that suits your fancy!
