Tonight we made it really simple – steak and salad. I bought a sirloin steak from the grocery store when I went shopping on Saturday. After Paula got up and was preparing her meals for work, she also put together a salad for the three of us using some greens, cucumber and lettuce that I also bought this weekend. While she made the salad, I cooked the steak on the grill, until it was medium rare, and then sliced it up. The three of us enjoyed it with a simple dressing that Paula had made on an earlier occasion using olive oil, balsamic vinegar and some minced shallots. It was a tasty compliment to the steak. Easy meal and very light for a very hot day!
