The temperatures did not rise out of the twenties today. We had a gallon bag filled with turkey broth in the freezer from Thanksgiving. Today seemed like a good day to make some hot turkey/chicken soup. I let the broth thaw out overnight. This afternoon I cut up a few potatoes in the cupboard that needed to be used. I also cut up some carrots that were in the refrigerator. I had bought a rotisserie chicken at the grocery store so I cut up most of the chicken and added it to the soup. After bringing the soup to a boil, I simmered it for about 30 minutes to allow the carrots and potatoes to cook. Then I added 2 cups of frozen peas to the soup. I continued to simmer the soup while I cooked some egg noodles. When the noodles were done, I served dinner and all of us enjoyed it. Theodore even joined Paula and I for dinner tonight…
